The ALFA RPAR AS2164 is a set of 4 high performance VCAs in a single package, resulting in very low cost per-VCA. Each VCA is independant and has current input and output for maximum design flexibility, and a ground referenced -33mV/dB control input.

All 4 VCAs in the packag are closely matched to within 0.07dB at unity gain and 0.24dB at 40dB of attenuation. A 120dB gain range is possible with this device. A single resistor controls operation between full class A and AB modes.

Unlike some other 2164 implementations, the AS2164 is internally protected against asymetric power supply failures (such as loss of the negative supply voltage).
