CEfx Modules
Most solderless breadboards will work with CEfx modules, but some have different bus spacing and will not work.
Here is a partial list of breadboards that are known to work with CEfx modules:
- Adafruit:
- #64 (DigiKey 1528-2182-ND)
- #239 (DigiKey 1528-2143-ND)
- Bud Industries:
- BB-32621 (DigiKey 377-2094-ND)
- BB-32656 (DigiKey 377-2646-ND)
- Global Specialties:
- EXP-355 (DigiKey BKEXP-355-ND)
- GS-400 (DigiKey BKGS-400-ND)
- GS-830 (DigiKey BKGS-830-ND)
- Twin Industries:
- TW-E40-510 (DigiKey 438-1109-ND)
- TW-E40-1020 (DigiKey 438-1045-ND)
- TW-E40-1020P (DigiKey 438-1135-ND)
Here is a list of breadboards that are known not to work with CEfx modules:
- 3M 923252-I (DigiKey 923252-ND)
- Parallax 700-00078 (DigiKey 700-00078-ND)
- DFRobot FIT0096 (DigiKey 1738-1326-ND)
A few breadboards such as the 377-2645-ND have "split buses". You can identify them by
the extra 0.1" gap between the buses on the left and on the right. These can still work with
CEfx modules, but you need to make sure that a module is installed across the gap or jumpers
are used in order to connect the buses.
If you don't plan on doing any prototyping, you can always use bus strips like BKGS-100-ND or BKGS-060-ND instead of full breadboards.
See Powering CEfx Modules for more information on
breadboards, stripboards, and perfboard installations.
