JLCPCB Consignment Parts Service

Cabintech makes it easy to use the JLCPCB board assembly service and our specialty audio parts with our JLCPCB parts consignment service.

It can be quite expensive to source specialty parts through JLCPCB’s global sourcing service. We can support your JLCPCB project by supplying the parts you need directly to the JLCPCB assembly process – no markups and minimal extra cost. With our mainland China connections we can supply any of our parts to your PCBA project through the JLCPCB consignment system. You buy the parts at our direct prices and we supply them to the PCBA assembly process with minimal extra cost. Contact us for details!

It works like this:

  1. You start the consignment process at JLCPCB which defines the part details (manufacturer, part numbers, footprint, etc). See this page for what you need to do to start the consignment process: https://jlcpcb.com/help/article/245-How-to-consign-parts-to-JLCPCB. When your consignment is approved, JLCPCB will give you some shipping details which you will then give to us so we can properly pack, label, and manage the shipment.
  2. You then purchase the chips from us at the usual price, except the shipping charge will be the cost to ship to a trans-shipment point in China instead of your location. That will typically be about $45. Do not place that order on our website, we will get the details by email and then create the order in our system with the correct shipping charges.
  3. We will than manage the logistics of the shipment into China including China customs, checkin to the trans-shipment warehouse, repacking the chips for domestic China shipment, and re-shipping the chips with a local China carrier for delivery to the JLCPCB warehouse.
  4. We will supply you with the local China carrier information and tracking number. You will supply that to JLCPCB so they know about the shipment before it arrives and can receive the shipment and connect those chips to your consignment request.
  5. When the chips are received by JLCPCB they will notify you. You will then able to submit an assembly order (PCBA service) using those consigned chips. Any leftover remain yours to use on future JLCPCB orders. Note that in general they will need a few more chips than your PCB assembly needs. There is no additional JLCPCB fee to use consigned chips, e.g. they do not add anything to the cost of your assembly order, although they may charge a small storage fee.
The cost of our consignment management service is a fixed fee that includes management of the entire process from our stock to the JLCPCB consignment warehouse, China import duties and taxes, re-packing, labeling, and trans-shipment in mainland China.
