We now have optical transmitter (FCR684205T) and receiver (FCR684205R) modules from Cliff Electronics. These modules support up to 16Mbps and can be used with ADAT or S/PDIF signaling protocols. With the Coolaudio V1401 and V1402 ADAT chips, a complete ADAT transmitter and receiver can be build with minimum component count.

Xvive Audio has indicated that they expect the new run of MN3005 chips to be completed on December 20. Given shipping delays at that time of year, a conservative estimate is that we will be shipping preorders in early January. We will continue to take preorders and will ship within 24 hours of receipt of stock from Xvive.

We have expanded our lineup of Coolaudio chips. We now have the full line of Coolaudio VCA (Voltage Controlled Amplifier) devices including the very popular quad V2164 in both surface mount and inline packages, and the ultra low noise V2181 VCA. We also expanded our selection of the Coolaudio BBD chips to include the V3205, V3208, and V3207 BBD delay lines and the V3102 clock generator. These are very economical devices for analog delays, in stock and ready to ship.
January 9, 2015 - Guzunty VHLD Tutorial
We have made available a series of free tutorials on programming the Xilinx CPLD in the Guzunty I/O expansion kit. The first tutorial walks you through the installation of the Xilinx ISE development tools, and the second shows you step-by-step how to create a simple VHDL design and program it into the Guzunty. Future tutorials will show you how to implement clocked designs and work with additional Raspberry Pi interfaces.
March 24, 2014 - Coolaudio for hobbyists
Purchasing Coolaudio devices in small quantities for experimentation and prototypes has been difficult, so we are making available for purchase a number of Coolaudio devices including the hard-to-find V1401 and V1402 ADAT optical tranceivers. With a bulk purchase we have been able to keep the per-peice price down and finally make these devices available at reasonable rates for hobbyists and small production runs. We have no minimum order and we can ship anywhere in the world. We hope to be able to make other Coolaudio devices available in the future.
November 14, 2013 - Guzunty Project Kits
We are proud to support the open source Guzunty project by making complete Guzunty kits available in the US at-cost. This Raspberry Pi I/O expansion kit is great for experimentation (while protecting the I/O pins of the Pi) and for learning about hardware design by programming the CPLD in VHDL. We are making these kits available at-cost as a public service to help promote education in the fields of computer system design and hardware.
