The EVB2140 evaluation board provides a comprehensive hardware platform to explore all the capabilities of the SSI2140 VCF in a Low Pass configuration. All components except for the 2140 SOIC chip are through-hole for easy construction and experimentation. This board is a "bare" PCB which has the only 2140 presoldred in place.

Audio inputs/outputs and terminals are arranged around the board’s perimeter. Frequency cut-off, resonsance, unity-gain overdrive, pole switching, and three Q-compensation schemes are selectable. The on-chip tempco or an external resistor can be optionally be activated, and an onboard reference allows precise Q and Frequency control.
